I have just finished 3 poster designs staring my lovely wife and myself. You can find them in the GFX Portfolio. These were made for our wedding website just for fun. The "I Love Lucy" design only became what it is at the very end of the design as I was adding a large red heart and it hit me.
I started off wanting to replicate the Twilight New Moon series posters. We had the perfect photo of us to use for it. She didn't like herself in the photo so I had to pull her face from another picture and blend it in. Of course the lighting didn't match so I had much more work ahead of me when I thought I was done and this was just for fun. It turned out pretty well and a funny note: some of her hair is from the original photo!
Then I thought "I might as well make some more posters. So then came the TV-comedy version using a studio photo we had that was kind of funny with a rose in my mouth. That worked perfectly without being planned. Lastly, since our wedding will be Hindu I had to make a Bollywood-style poster. This poster used a photo taken in her backyard during our engagement party. We were sitting in folding chairs against a chain link fence background. I had already replaced the background to give the photo out to family. Most of the work was already done and all I had to do is change the background, create a title, add tinting to us so we look like we are in that environment and I made a little film scroll for the heck of it.
